RMD Adventure Learning works with Children, Young People and Families
Our Partnerships
Regional Youth Work Units (RYWUs) act as hubs for developing and supporting youth work in their regions, working with commissioners, providers and young people themselves to ensure the sector is well-informed, skilled and responsive to changes in government policies and young people’s needs. They are a core element of infrastructure support for the youth sector in their regions. RMD Adventure Learning are pleased to be working with the Network of Regional Youth Work Units in the development of the Youth Focus South East RYWU.
We are working with Basingstoke Voluntary Action providing young people the opportunity to become qualified in Voluntary Sector Leadership through the BBC Children In Need funded project Inspiring futures. Alongside this partnership we are working together with local suppliers to provide a community cafe for members of the public. Situated off of the War Memorial Park, Basingstoke. The Orchard Community Cafe will be launching soon. Stay tuned….
RMD Adventure Learning have been commissioned to deliver Detached Youth Work to the community, supporting young people between the ages of 13 – 18. RMD Adventure Learning are on the streets engaging with the young people on a Wednesday Night throughout the Top of Town, War Memorial Park and Eastrop Park. Supporting the You Matter In Schools programme for children in need of additional support, the Tenancy Ready programme in Basingstoke which empowers young adults with the tools and strategies to enable them to recognise and understand the responsibilities of taking on a new home. Supporting the Legacy Programme in Andover which aims to energise the community to try and tackle the county lines and drug related harm situation. Mentoring and exit strategies for the young people involved will be provided offering them positive opportunities of future progression in their lives.
WAVE Trust develops and pioneers research-based solutions to transform the futures of children, breaking cycles of disadvantage.
Our main goal is to reduce the adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) of child abuse, neglect and children witnessing domestic violence by at least 70% by 2030. We call this the 70/30 Campaign.
Vince is an Adverse Childhood Experiences Ambassador for the Wave Trust.
Working with Basingstoke & District Young Carers, providing life changing adventures that the young carers wouldn’t of been able to undertake without our support and passion to give every young person the opportunity to achieve. RMD are providing mentoring with counselling skills funded through the local Childrens Social Services Departments.
